Lela Rose + Samplers!

Hello lovelies!
So when I purchased Tokyo-Milk Lip Elixirs, I also purchased some cologne for the hubby and received a gift with purchase which I totally wasn’t expecting from beauty.com. They were also having a 20% off friends & family promotion going on so I made out like a bandit ;)
Please ignore all the  stuff in the backgrounds along with the crappy photos – I’m just starting so a break would be nice ;)
How great is this?! TOTALLY made my day!!
First up is…
stila prime pot:
This stila prime pot is waterproof eye shadow primer which comes in taffy or caramel. It promises to be crease resistant and extends eye shadow wear all day along with creates flawlessly smooth lids & keeps excess oil at bay! It comes in a small .11 fl oz pot. I’m attending a wedding in September where I know I’m gonna need that waterproof part! I’m not one to usually use a primer for eye shadow but I can’t wait to try this stuff!
Boscia Green Tea Blotting Linens:
These little guys are preservative-free! They blot away excess oil without disturbing your makeup. Also, they mention that they’re great for lipstick blotting too! They’re made from leaf fibers of the Abaca Tree Plant and infused with Green Tea. There are 25 sheets in this little guy and they really do have a tea smell! They’re a sheer white with dark brown spots here & there. Super great for your purse with how tiny they are!

Next are –
Nuxe Body Fondant Body Scrub:
This little guy was in a .49 oz tube but normally comes in a 6.7 oz tube. This is soap-free and it’s base is a coconut plant origin. This has a really good smell to it and some type of brown bits in it which I’m guessing are to exfoliate. While I probably won’t try this out in the next few weeks but I definitely plan on taking it on my trip to Florida later this month since it’s in such a tiny tube it will give me more room to pack things.
H2o Plus Hand & Nail Cream:
Usually this comes in a 6 fl oz tube but my trial was a 1 fl oz which makes it even better in my opinion. First, I love that it’s unscented – it does have a clean smell to it though! This has Wakame, Sea Lettuce, & Sea Fennel.  It’s not greasy and not runny – it’s ticker than some lotions and I’m very partial to Aveeno. I will definitely keep this tiny tube in my purse and it is also against animal testing which I love.

Murad Age Reform Time Release Retinol Concentrate:
First of all, this states: “for Deep Wrinkles” which being 25, I don’t think I have too many of yet. This may be handed over to my mom. Not that my mom has too many wrinkles, she’s stunning ;) On their website, this Concentrate sells in a .5 fl oz tube which is 5x’s what is in my hand. But it does state that it is “clinically proven to visibly reduce the appearance of deep wrinkles by 45% in 6 weeks”. Which sounds pretty awesome! It is fairly expensive at $65. I don’t normally spend much on wrinkle reducing items which I don’t currently worry about. I’ll have to ask mom what she thinks of it when she uses it.

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye:
First of all, their site states: “Full Coverage Waterproof Concealer with Collagen and Vitamins C&K. Available in 4 Shades: Light, Neutral Medium, Tan and Deep. *Note: 70% of skin tones fall into the Neutral Medium shade”. I did receive the Neutral Medium and it looks like it’s going to be a great match. It is an anti-aging waterproof concealer. It’s very pigmented and somewhat moisturizing. I’ll definitely need this once again for the wedding I’ll be at in September. I’ve already mentioned to the bride that I WILL be bawling my eyes out.

Smashbox BB Cream:
Currently at Smashbox if you spend $25 you can use the code “Friends20” and receive 20% off! I’m not sure how long this is going for but check it out! Smashbox also has a great replenishment service that you can set up. This product comes in 5 different shades and has an SPF of 35. They also come in a 1 fl oz tube and has a VERY high rating on their website. This can be used for a light coverage foundation or a primer – just a pea size will do too! I’m a little unsure if this is waterproof but can’t wait to try it out – I don’t usually use much foundation unless it’s to a really important event.

DDF Amplifying Elixir:
DDF stands for Doctor’s Dermatologic Formula. This elixir come in a 1.7 oz package and is clear. It is to improve hydration for your skin. I’m definitely excited to try this too but it’s way too expensive for my taste at $70 a pop!
Nick Chavez Volumizing Shampoo:
I think this is pretty self-explanatory… this is a blueish-grey shimmery color in the bottle, smells very good too! It mentions that it’s for thinning hair which I definitely do not have currently. This retails for $18 for 8 oz of shampoo. It is supposed to thicken and strengthen your hair and give you volume and shine. I will be passing this to my mom once again to see how she likes it. I have enough hair on my head for about 3 people ;)
Arcona White Tea Purifying Cleanser:
I haven’t heard of Arcona before but this stuff smells amazing!! It is an antioxidant cleanser, is to neutralize free radicals, nourish, clarify, and strengthen the skin, and helps maintain skins’ natural ph balance. It is available in 110 ml for $42.

Also,
A gift card for $5 off a $25 purchase from beauty.com which I’m sure I’ll use soon.
bareMinerals Advanced Protection SPF 20 Moisturizer. I’d be more excited about this if I hadn’t just received a 30 SPF hand & face moisturizer from Julep. This is supposed to reveal smoother and more luminous skin by the ActiveSoil Complex. This is light weight and doesn’t smell that great but still doesn’t smell bad. I think I will use this moisturizer when heading to Six Flags over the summer.
Tarte Rise & Shine in pink:
These come in nectar, pink, nude, & cherry. These cannot be returned or exchanged on the website – it looks like they may be going out of stock with these since they’re currently on sale for $10. I’m currently wearing the lip gloss and love it. It is a little on the sticky side though. The lip gloss side has a small brush while the stain side has an applicator. I really love the smell of this stuff. It’s also my first tarte item! I definitely want to try the stain after my shower tonight. This will be in my purse for any time I remember it’s in there ;)
Fekkai Brilliant Glossing:
I’ve tried Fekkai before but I’m excited to try this one now. This is a frizz-fighting shine cream with olive oil. I’ll definitely be trying this when I get out of the shower today. The prices range from $9 to $34 for a 1.6 oz to 7 oz tube. It smells very clean & refreshing. I can always use more anti-frizzing stuff!!

Lastly, is this cute bag that came packed with it all! This is bright orange around it and on the inside. It also has a cute little pocket. This will definitely be my new makeup bag! My other ones are a good 3 years old, clear, and way too small!

Hope you enjoyed my LONG review on an excellent set that I wasn’t expecting - I know I did!!
